MEDIUM VOLTAGE SWITCHGEAR AND STEP-UP TRANSFORMERS

11kV system; Schneider GenieEvo switchgear. Replaced client’s outdated switchgear with Schneider solution consisting of two mains incomers; one generator incomer; and eight plant feeders. Incomers controlled by ComAp control system. Synchronous (soft) transfer implemented

33kV overhead switchgear design based on ABB OVR reclosers (deployed as magnetically actuated circuit breakers). Effectively one vacuum circuit breaker per step-up transformer onto a common overhead line

33kV containerized switchgear based on Schneider Flusarc 36 gas-insulated modules. Four step-up transformer incomers; one bus metering unit; and one output feeder to customer’s main intake substation

FUEL AND OIL SYSTEMS

Fuel and oil system specified by Indulec. This site is in North Africa and construction of the tanks was by local contractors to satisfy local employment requirements during the power plant construction. The red tank in the background is a water tank for the power plant’s firefighting system. The large tank is for diesel with the two horizontal tanks for lubrication oil and recovered used engine oil. The fuel offloading bay can service two delivery vehicles simultaneously

Containerized fuel and oil conditioning system consisting of triple redundant diesel fine filtration and coalesce vessels, dual redundant diesel circulation pumps and triple redundant oil delivery pumps. System design allows for conditioning of two 1.3Ml bulk diesel tanks and one 24kl bulk oil tank

Horizontal diesel tank combined with single redundant diesel pump and filter kit. Filter elements are a fine filter followed by coalesce element for single pass water removal

Containerized fuel and oil conditioning system consisting of single redundant diesel fine filtration and coalesce vessels, a diesel circulation pump and an oil delivery pump.
